The width of the tyre across the tread, measured in millimetres from sidewall edge to edge.
The sidewall height as a percentage of the width. Also called the aspect ratio — lower means sportier.
"R" means radial construction. 16 is the wheel diameter the tyre fits, measured in inches.
91 is the load index — the max weight each tyre can carry. V is the speed rating — the maximum safe speed.
